“As coordinators of the CO:RE project, our main task is to keep an eye on the processes and to support them where we can. And, of course, it is also about networking CO:RE with other initiatives and to accompany it communicatively throughout its development.”

– Uwe Hasebrink, Co-Director Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI)

Our goals

The overall goal of the CO:RE project is to successfully establish a pan-European knowledge platform. CO:RE aims at making visible and disseminate evidence, data, state of the art methodological approaches, theoretical innovations and much more. In doing so, CO:RE focuses on the requirements of stakeholders and dialogue groups concerned with children and youth online media use, i.e. researchers, educators, policymakers and industry partners. In work package 1, we coordinate all work package activities, make sure all our efforts follow a unified vision, and are barriere-free and easily accessible.

Our three-year timeline

Year 1

In year 1, we are primarily concerned with mapping out the pathways we want to take in creating our knowledge platform. In doing so, we aim at synchronising all work packages, taking into account the respective needs and requirements. In short: In year 1, we craft our knowledge platform on the drawing board.

Year 2

In year 2, we take our plans from the drawing board and bring them to live. This means that we successively transform our website core-evidence.eu into a functional knowledge base. In doing so, we coordinate the implementation of the different functions CO:RE wants to provide. Year 2, furthermore, is CO:RE’s growth phase, in which we aim at drawing as many dialogue groups, stakeholders and partners to our knowledge base and outputs.

Year 3

In year 3, we aim at expanding our reach and evaluate what has been accomplished so far. This includes reporting our accomplishments to the European Commission. Additionally, our goals for year 3 are to improve the CO:RE knowledge base and create a great overall user experience.
